About the RX-7 FD

The Mazda RX-7 FD is the third and final generation of the Mazda RX-7 sports car. It was produced from 1991 to 2002 and was powered by a twin-turbocharged rotary engine. The FD featured a more aerodynamic design than the previous generations of the RX-7, and it was available in both coupe and convertible body styles. In 1993, Mazda introduced a limited-production, high-performance version of the RX-7 FD known as the R1, which featured a more powerful engine and a number of performance upgrades. The FD was the final iteration of the RX-7 and is considered by many to be the best version of the car. It was eventually discontinued due to declining sales and the increasing cost of meeting emissions regulations.
