1983 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Super Sport Coupe in Alma, ON

$15,500

Seller note:

In 1983 Chevrolet only made 4714 of these cars and only two exterior colours were available that year: white or blue. Although there are no accurate records, most experts agree that only around 30% were blue, which makes this vehicle pretty rare. It also has the unique white & blue interior with the monogrammed SS headrests. Bucket seats were not available for 1983 and the super sport package included a bench seat in one colour only: blue with white trim.
I originally purchased this car in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in April 1992 and drove it home to Mount Forest, Ontario. I drove it ever summer until 1997 when I had the motor & transmission rebuilt as well as a new paint job. The front seats were recovered (because of 2 cigarette burn holes from previous owner) with the original GM material and the carpeting was also replaced with the original material. This car have never seen winter since I've owned it and from what people tell me I don't think it has ever been driven in the winter. It has been stored every winter in my garage where it sits on a layer of cardboard then a tarp so there is absolutely no moisture. It is also covered with it's own car cover for protection. This car has been well maintained with regular oil changes etc and is a very clean, comfortable riding car.
The 1983 Monte Carlo SS was equipped with these standard features:
5.0L 4 BBL v8 engine
F41 Sport Suspension
3.42:1 Performance axle
Dual exhaust system
Special SS Stripes
Special SS black moldings and grill
Sport mirrors
Air conditioning
Special 15 x 7 Rally Wheels
Tinted glass
Gage package with tachometer
Automatic speed control with resume
Automatic transmission
Tilt steering wheel
Rear spoiler
Power windows
Power door lock system
Power trunk opener
Rear window defogger
Intermittent windsheild wipers

This car has been pretty much fully restored to original and was originally appraised in 2002 at $12,075.00 and $17,500.00 the last time it was appraised in 2007. It was only driven 671 miles in the 5 years between appraisals and maybe 500 miles since 2007.
The ONLY reason I am selling this car is because it doesn't get driven. I also have a 1968 Camaro 396 and I can only drive one at a time so the Monte Carlo sits.
PLEASE NOTE: The number of kms listed is actually miles as this is a U.S. car
