Here was a Ferrari that needed no excuses.Yes,it "only" had a V-8,but this car continued to win comparison tests right up to it's demise in 1999. Introduced first as a coupe,then a Targa, the Syder model followed in a surprisingly short time.The 355 Challenge cars were only available as complete cars from the factory (no dealer conversions). This time around the modifications were quite a bit more extensive then those made to the 348 Challenge cars.These include F40 LM brakes,a carbon fiber front bumper with much larger brake cooling ducts,racing springs,shocks and oil cooler.
