1989 Ford Festiva Hatchback SAFETIED in Winnipeg, MB

$1,000

Seller note:

I'm selling my 1989 Ford Festiva with a 4 spd transmission safetied until August 2012. I love this car to death but I can't take care of it anymore.
The car is safetied but does need some work still. The master cyclinder drips a little and slowly drains the brake fluid, and the other problem is the alternator isn't charging the battery. I am selling for these two reasons, because I am in school and don't have time to worry about getting those things fixed. However, it is still a great car! Relatively rare and turns head because of it's small size. I only owned it for 2 months and it ran and drove great until I parked it because of those issues. There's not a single rust hole and the only rust is on the underbody, minus a small amount coming in on the hatch.
The interior is in great shape for being an 89, all turn signals, headlamps etc are in working order. New left outer tie rod, front bushings, rear grease seals and fresh brake shoes/ wheel cylinders in the rear, new front brakes, block heater AND inline coolant "frost" heater for instant heat in the winter, alloy wheels too. Everything works except the for the alternator charge issue and the master cylinder.
I am including the original alternator which I replaced when it wasn't working with the one currently in it, but it still wouldn't charge, so I'm thinking it's a wiring/ grounding issue. Easy fix if you know what you're doing, not too difficult if you don't know what you're doing.
The car also comes with the deck/head unit and speakers I put in, which consists of two 5 1/4" pioneer speakers, and a kenwood kdc-mp345u head unit (with ipod control)
The fuel economy on this car is phenomenal and gets at least 45 mpg. The car has lots of life left in it if taken care of properly, and I just don't have the time to give it the attention it needs. No test drives unfortunately because the car is not insured at the moment and it would need to be towed out because of the braking issue (master cylinder).
Any questions send me an email. Thanks.
Now that pictures are uploaded I can explain a bit of damage on the roof of the car. Before I owned it somebody climbed onto the roof and so it is cracked. Nothing bondo can't fix. The previous owner and myself have had NO water issues either. We had a big storm in august and not a single drop came into the cabin, which is why I never bothered filling it in. If you need clarification of what I'm speaking of please send me an email. thanks!
