Great Soarer in Great Shape! RHD JDM Import.
I imported this car myself and have very few problems with it. It only has <59,000 kms and drives beautifully! It is right-hand-drive.
The UZZ31 Soarer is the luxury GT version of the Lexus SC400, with substantially more features and equipment than the 6 cylinder models and the Lexus SC300/400. The EMV (Electro Multi Vision) touchscreen system which was pioneered in the Z10 and Z20 Soarers was again available and provided a screen with television, GPS navigation, diagnostics, car computer, and touch control of all functions of the climate control and sophisticated 7-speaker (with subwoofer) balanced-signal audio system with 12-disc CD stacker and digital signal processing.
The UZZ31 Soarer is powered by Toyota's acclaimed 1UZ-FE quad-cam all-alloy 4 litre V8. While producing marginally less power and torque than the turbocharged JZZ[removed phone] kW (260 PS; 256 hp) at 5400 rpm, 353 N·m (260 lb·ft) at 4600 rpm) the V8, called the 4.0GT-L is renowned for its smoothness and refinement.
The UZZ31 features a driver-adjustable air suspension system that has two settings for both ride height and damper stiffness. The air 'bag' pressure is controlled by an electric pump mounted at the front of the car. Also featured on the UZZ31 series are a host of electronic goodies including automatic headlights, speed-sensitive wipers, electric controlled seats with two-position memory, electronic collapsible steering column with memory, cabin air purifying system, touch screen TV with 12 stack CD player, touch screen SatNav (only works in Japan), and a full on board computer diagnostic system which outputs to the TV display unit.
While the car drives prefectly, there are a few minor cosmetic issues which could be addressed:
- Both interior door handles are broker. There is still a "stub" remaining so the doors can be opened from the inside. I bought one interiaor handle (passenger) but have not installed it yet. Others can be found online and purchased far ~$40. Installation of these would not be difficult to do yourself or bring into a shop to have them installed.
- The driver's side exterior door handle does not work. The fix is not difficult but would require removal of the door panel.
- The electronic multi-vision (EMV) screen does not work properly. The screen does not light up anymore. I found a fix online for this but it is beyond my capabilities. Servicing this screen can be done by yourself if you are mechanically/ electronically inclined or it can be repaired professionally. Getting this EMV repaired is fairly important as it is required to run the climate-control system.
I have considered the cost of these repairs in the listing price.

This car is currently licensed and insured in BC as I have recently moved to Calgary and have not transferred it over. This car has not been winter driven. Since the car is from Japan, there is not any rust on it at all.
This car is in great shape and has very low mileage considering the production year. Everything on it is stock soyou would have a lot of options if you wanted to perform any custom upgrades! It is a fun car to drive and has lots of power?. I am selling it as I work out of town and rarely get to drive it anymore. You will definitely love this Soarer!!!
