1985 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbo Diesel in Duncan, BC

Seller note:

For sale is a [removed phone]D turbo diesel sedan with 367,813 kms on the clock.

The Good:

It starts and runs well, it drives decently, it will return fairly good fuel economy and it should last quite a while with a minimum of care.
- The price!
- Would be a good candidate for a veggie oil conversion.
- I have also replaced the broken rear sway bar links.
- The belts have been changed.
- The tires are pretty good.
- There are two spare tires and rims with it.
- This vehicle would make a great commuter car for someone who loves these older diesels! Or a really good parts vehicle or the engine for some kind of conversion.

I bought this vehicle as a project from a friend who owns a towing / wrecking business because he didn't have the time to work on it.

The brakes at all 4 wheels have been repaired (they were sticking) and are now in good working order - (calipers rebuilt, brakes fully bled) and now work really well. Other than a bit of surface rust on the rotors, the pads and rotors are essentially new.

Issues:

- It has a salvage title because it was hit in the back corner on the left side. The damage has been repaired, though it's not that great it's still quite acceptable.

It needs a BC Inspection to be insurable due to the salvage title - it should pass this inspection just fine but I won't guarantee it doesn't need a bulb here or there. Inspections run about $120.

- The AC does not work
- The sunroof does not work (the cables are stiff and the motor is missing).
- It is not very pretty, but it's really not bad either.
- There is no radio, but I can give you one that might work...
