1989 Chrysler Le Baron Convertible in Mission, BC

Seller note:

Unlike most sellers, including the guy I bought this car from, I don't believe in lying about what I am selling. I purchased this car April 14th 2012. This car is in excellent running condition, and passed air care last year, so expires April 3rd this year. (A new oxygen sensor and breather hose were installed prior to the test, have the receipt from the previous owner to prove it). The body, as can be seen in the picture, is in excellent condition as well. There is a tiny tear in the convertible roof, however that is not a leak issue. The stereo is an aftermarket kenwod cd player with an auxilary input as well as a USB input and/or charger if need be. The top goes up and down without any issue at all, and hold the seal along the top of the windshield without any issues. Power windows all (4) work great, wipers are no issue, and are both brand new rain-x blades. No can manual.

However, the issues not known to me when buying this car, and are still there. The heat/ac does not turn on, so no defog even. The odometer does not work (According the the kms logged with aircare, it stopped between September 2, 2010 and March 28, 2012. Based on the pattern I have seen, it would have around 15,000 Kms from previous owner, and I have a log in the car of my fill ups to show how much I have put on.) The odometer says 107,XXX, and so is around 130,000, still good for an '89. Other issues; There is a leak that leads into the trunk and/or frame in the back somewhere, that retains water and interior moisture, causing mold to grow on the back seat in the winter. (There was no mold from when I bought it until November when it was cold and raining a lot.) Also the trunk latch in the car does not work, but it opens with the key no problem. And speaking of latches, the one for the headlight cover does not always engage. It will from time to time, but typically not. Also the tumbler in the driver door is broken, so key entry is only on the passenger side.

Currently, I have the spare tire on the rear passenger, as the tire got a puncture. So I am looking at replacing it possibly before a sale (Previous owner claims the tires were purchased January 2012, no receipt.).

Aside from these issues it is a great car, definitely more so for Summer, and if you have a covered parking spot, which I did not. I will not allow test drives right now as it is at my in-laws without plates. If you are interested e-mail me, and we can negotiate a price. I am well aware I will not get what I paid, but I will not accept stupid offers.
